I don’t know about you, but the smell of Febreeze, cleaning agents with bleach, or anything that smells like flowery chemicals just doesn’t sit right with me. It also gives me a head-ache. For years we have been shown/told/sold products that not only make us sick (literally), but that are detrimental to our planet, inhabitants, waters, and soils. Not to set off a guilt-trip here on myself or any of you, but there are a lot of inexpensive eco-friendly alternatives to your standard cleaning products.

A Look Inside the 2015 Chasing Sunshine Project: Ocean Retreat

With over 2.9 million breast cancer survivors in the US alone, B4BC recognizes the importance of supporting our growing survivor community. In 2009, the B4BC Survivorship Fund was established to connect breast cancer survivors with nature-based wellness experiences that enhance their path of healing and long-term survivorship. This past fall we granted (10) breast cancer survivors the opportunity to attend our Chasing Sunshine Project: Ocean Retreat hosted by B4BC wellness ambassador, pro-snowboarder, survivor–Megan Pischke. The weekend focused on reconnecting with the natural world and ourselves through meditation, surfing, yoga, clean organic eating, and inclusive health discussions devoted to removing obstacles so that we may move forward, continue to heal, and achieve balance in our lives.
