We’ve wrapped on another amazing year of B4BC’s Shred The Love winter series, and we are thrilled to announce that we raised over $65,000 for Boarding for Breast Cancer’s education, prevention and support programs! We would like to extend our love and thanks to our 2015 resorts and community partners and to the thousands of individual fundraisers, participants and supporters who helped Shred The Love with us this winter season. The funds raised will not only tremendously impact our programs, but additional breast health non-profit beneficiaries in the communities where events were hosted. We couldn’t have achieved this without YOU!

We LOVE sunshine and we’re sure we aren’t the only ones! It’s hard to beat spending a day outdoors soaking in the sun’s rays and it’s getting to be that time of year where all we want to do is frolic outside! Although we do have to be careful about our exposure to UV rays, spending time in the sun has one HUGE benefit that people often forget.. VITAMIN D! This little vitamin does the body big favors by boosting our immune systems and preventing more serious diseases.

Warm weather is upon us and that means it’s time to cool down with a sweet treat.. that is incredibly healthy! Green smoothies are our go-to breakfast during the summer months and we aren’t opposed to starting early this year. This Tuesday, our Cancer Fighting Food recipe comes from pro snowboarder and breast cancer survivor Megan Pischke, with her favorite recipe for water kefir. Megs shared with all of us the incredible health benefits, and how she used water kefir to build up her immune system following her chemotherapy treatments. Haven’t heard of it? Read up!

B4BC Bowl-A-thon Presented by Kimmy Fasani’s Amusement Park

Team B4BC rider Kimmy Fasani is back with her 3rd annual Amusement Park all-female photo shoot session at Mammoth Mountain from April 25th-28th, 2015, and with that there will also be a Burton Girls Ride Day and a B4BC Bowl-A-Thon at Rock N Bowl! Fifteen of the top female riders this season will be joining Kimmy in a private photo shoot that celebrates women’s progression in snowboarding. The ladies will be taking over Main Park at Mammoth Mountain, with evening sessions on a jump designed to push their skills. Amusement Park will continue to offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity for the top female pros to show the world what they can do.
