Pause 4 Prevention // Jamie Anderson’s Yoga for Snowboarders

September is National Yoga Month, so we caught up with Team B4BC rider and Olympic gold medalist Jamie Anderson who knows a thing or two about the benefits of yoga—and between the strength, flexibility, balance and meditation aspects of yoga, has credited it to much of her snowboarding success! Jamie finds balance all over the world through practicing yoga, which she tell us “has not only helped my snowboarding, but everything in my life.”

TASTY TUESDAYS // ELENA HIGHT’S OATMEAL PANCAKES

Get your lazy day morning pancake fix from Team B4BC rider Elena Hight with a fiber-filled twist! Quick oats also contain calcium and iron, but the amount varies due to fortification. So what are you waiting for? These are DELISH.

We all know what happens when we don’t get enough sleep; we wake up groggy and cranky and then cram our body full of caffeine in order to make up for our lack of energy (we’re definitely guilty of this one on occasion). Short term effects of sleep depravation are evident and more and more studies are being conducted to find out if there are less obvious, long-term effects.

Tasty Tuesdays // Elena Hight’s Good Morning Juice

Ever wonder how professional snowboarder, two-time Olympian, and X Games medalist Elena Hight kick starts her mornings? This juice has all the answers: it’s a nutritional powerhouse with kale, apples, carrots, beets and ginger. Kale has been shown to have antioxidant, antigenotoxic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, in addition to reducing the estrogen metabolite 16alpha-hydroxyestrone (which is a breast cancer promoter).
