SuperGirl Pro // This past weekend thousands of surf fans flocked to Oceanside Pier for the Ford Supergirl Pro—the largest all-women’s surf contest in the world, which also boasts the only ASP 6-star competition in North America for the ladies.
A runner-up 3 x in the Supergirl Series, B4BC team rider Malia Manuel, out surfed New Zealand’s Paige Hareb in an inspiring performance to take home the win and the esteemed Supergirl pink cape!
It’s the last Tasty Tuesday of the month, which means we get a delicious recipe from Team B4BC and Olympic Snowboarder Elena Hight! We’re pretty much obsessed with her organic cooking, and these Quinoa Stuffed Peppers do not disappoint! Try it out for dinner and let us know what you think 🙂
It’s the last Tuesday of the month, which means that B4BC team rider Elena Hight is contributing one of her favorite recipes for Tasty Tuesday! Pineapples have many cancer fighting properties, such as bromelain which helps protect again breast and lung cancer, and well as containing vitamin C and other anti-inflammatory elements. So lather it on to your favorite healthy dish and enjoy!
It’s a Friday—yay! I don’t know why I’m so excited, its not like I have a job. Actually, chemo is a job. Last week I started the weekly treatments of Paxil- something or other (Taxol), and will have 12 in total, and have already done 2. Only 10 left! And by the way things are settling in, the scheduling, all the other appointments, ect, time is flying by. And as much as I want chemo DONE, I still want time to linger a bit. I have a 22 month old wild beautiful boy, and my little girl just turned 7…there is no need to rush these years.
Every last Tuesday of the month, Team B4BC rider Elena Hight will be guest blogging for our Tasty Tuesday segment, sharing her healthy recipes that keep her going through her tough schedule and athletic life. Here is a little intro from her: I am very excited to be coming on as the “guest chef” for Tasty Tuesdays for B4BC the last Tuesday of every month! Cooking and baking with whole, nutritious, organic, ingredients is something that I am extremely passionate about. I hope to share some recipes with you that not only taste delicious but also will leave you filled with goodness. 🙂

It’s Personal for Megan Pischke
As you may or may not know, Megs has been involved with B4BC for over 10 years. Beyond raising awareness, and inspiring others to lead a healthy, preventative lifestyle, she has worked towards raising funds for breast cancer survivors to attend her “ReTreat Yourself” wellness retreats for nearly 7 years. Ironically enough, Megs was diagnosed with breast cancer herself last fall.
We had the most amazing time at X Games Aspen this past week, and we were so proud and excited for our team rider Elena Hight for making X Games history as the first woman to land a double backside alley-oop rodeo! While she wasn’t busy making history, Elena was also the brand ambassador for…
