Popcorn is making waves as a new(ish) member to the list of superfoods. This crunchy, addicitive snack contains almost double the amount of cancer-combatting antioxidants, known as polyohenols, than do all fruits. We’re not talking about that bucket of movie theater popcorn dripping in butter and salt, though. Be sure to choose air popped popcorn for the lowest calories and fat content. Also, look for 100% organic popcorn. Popcorn that is not 100% organic is likely to be genetically modified. Tune in tomorrow to learn more about why you want to avoid GMOs in your diet!
