The Lounge Snowboard Shop in Rochester, NY presented their second annual B4BC Board-a-thon at Hunt Hollow Ski Club on March 4-5. The weekend was jam packed with activities including a Burton Snowboards Demo Day (Saturday and Sunday), a women’s learn to ride park and rail clinic, a sick two day jib and rail jam competition which featured an insanely creative terrain park created specifically for the event, live music from the rock band, The Hounds of Hell, an interactive sponsor village, raffles, snow kayaking (we’re not kidding), tons of prize giveaways, BBQ’s, live music from DJ Superdimensional, and an awards ceremony for top B4BC fundraisers and rail jam winners.
The Lounge threw a video premiere kick off bash back in October as well and with the $3,000 from that night and the Board-a-thon, the two events were able to collectively raise over $16,000 for B4BC’s outreach efforts! As with all Board-a-thons, in exchange for the community support B4BC donated a percentage of the proceeds, to The Lounge’s charity of choice, the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.
B4BC would like to sincerely thank Josh Greene for all of his hard work and dedication, the Greene family for their hospitality and great efforts, Amanda DeFisher, J.B., all of the incredible riders who fundraised and threw down at the event, Ellen Miller and the Hunt Hollow Ski Club, as well as ECC Technologies, Rainaldi Real Estate, and GWC for their generous donations and support! Thank you all for your hard work, your passion is amazing and greatly valued!
