Here’s to another epic week of doin’ the dew at Dew Tour Breckenridge! This last week, Team B4BC packed up our Traveling Education Booth, loads of art, Bra Pong and some awesome raffle prizes to hit the hills in Breckenridge, Colorado at one of the best snow competitions in the world.
Throughout the weekend, B4BC could be found both in town near the Street Style course and on mountain where thousands of Dewers gathered to watch some of the best competition we’ve seen. This year, top skiers and boarders in the game came out for a jib and jump section of Slopestyle, Street Style, a brand new Modified Superpipe and an Adaptive Banked Slalom.
On Friday night, B4BC was joined by Dew VIPs at B4BC’s Art + Silent Auction. Athletes, Dew Partners and B4BC supporters gathered at the VIP Street Style Viewing Party and were able to check out a huge silent auction featuring over 20 B4BC hand painted Arbor boards.
Those who couldn’t join us at the Art + Silent Auction party could instead find B4BC at the TransWorld SNOWboarding Riders’ Poll Awards for yet another full B4BC Traveling Education Booth activation.
On Saturday, we had one of our most special Tribute Rides yet. We dedicated this run to long time B4BC friend Roberta Walker who was recently in a severe cycling accident. We were joined with friends Elena Hight, Scotty Lago, Tricia Byrnes, Spencer O’Brian, Jamie Crane-Mauzy and around 40 others who came out to join us.
For the first time ever, the ladies were able to compete in Nikita’s G.W.R. Streetstyle competition. This invite-only event took over the streets of Breckenridge to show off how the girls dew it! The cheering and stoke was unmatched as Nikita’s Jenna Kuklinski, Maude Raymond, and Riley Elliott announced some of the fierce tricks to be seen.
Over $4k was awarded to top competitors! Congrats to score leaders Kaleah Driscoll (1st AND Best Trick), Alexis Roland (2nd), and Nora Beck (3rd). For full results, head over to DewTour.com
Thank you Dew Tour for another unforgettable week and the opportunity to reach so many with our message to Be Healthy, Get Active, Ride! Together we were able to educate over 2,500 people on early detection and how to feel for a potentially cancerous lump and reach tens of thousands more with our message that a healthy, active lifestyle is the best means for breast cancer prevention. Throughout four incredible days, we were able to raise over $8,000 for our education, outreach and survivor programs to allow us to continue to grow and reach thousands more. Thank you Dew Tour, we dew’d it!
