B4BC EXPANDS PRESENCE TO THE EAST COAST AND CANADA
16-Year Non-Profit Organization Officially Establishes Bi-Coastal and International Offices Due to Increased Demand for B4BC Programs and Outreach
Redondo Beach, Calif. (April 11, 2012) – After moving their headquarters to Redondo Beach in December 2011, B4BC (Boarding for Breast Cancer) is expanding their presence to offices in New York City and Toronto, Canada. The 16-year non-profit organization is officially establishing its bi-coastal and North American presence due to tremendous support and increased demand and need for youth-based outreach events for young women and those that love them.
“B4BC began its outreach and board-a-thon events in the East Coast in 1998. We are now equipped and excited to announce an official presence with offices in both Brooklyn, NY and Toronto, Canada to accommodate both the long-standing need and interest in our outreach, fundraising, and support programs,” said Erika Seward, executive director, B4BC. “As a strong advocate for young women and girls, B4BC is excited to expand our year-round reach to these major metropolitan areas in support of participation in healthy, active lifestyle pursuits.”
This year, B4BC’s Shred the Love Series included several stops on the East Coast including locations in New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Vermont. In 2012-2013, B4BC will continue its Shred the Love Rail Jam & Fundraising Series and expand its signature Check One, Two Campus Outreach Tour to campus stops in the Northeast, courtesy of The North Face. Additionally, B4BC will continue to align with Billabong’s Flaunt It! Series in Canada as well as other North American youth lifestyle events.
On April 27, B4BC Canada officially kicks off its launch at the Shred the Love Toronto celebration presented by Skullcandy. Tickets are available for $25 and include food, beverages, music and entertainment. Anyone that registers for tickets through the Skullcandy Canada Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SkullcandyCanada will be entered to win free tickets to see Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes and/or a free pair of B4BC Canada Launch Party tickets and Skullcandy Jib Earbuds.
