THE RYDE TEAMS UP WITH BOARDING FOR BREAST CANCER FOR INAUGURAL CHARITEES PROJECT TO RAISE ESSENTIAL FUNDS AND AWARENESS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER
SPECIALTY T-SHIRTS WILL FEATURE A DESIGN SELECTED THROUGH AN ONLINE CONTEST OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

(Capistrano, CA March 31, 2008) The Ryde, a Southern California lifestyle t-shirt brand, is teaming up with the non-profit organization Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC) in an effort to raise essential funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer through the creation and sales of exclusively designed t-shirts. The project will kick off the brand’s ChariTees initiative, which aims to create one-of-a-kind t-shirts to be sold in support of a variety of charitable organizations. The Ryde will launch the initiative with the support of Boarding For Breast Cancer, a non-profit youth focused education, awareness and fundraising foundation. The Ryde ChariTees will be designed through a collaborative effort, either by The Ryde artists, or through online competitions open to the public. The winner of the Boarding For Breast Cancer ChariTees project themed Less Tax, More Racks will receive a $200 cash prize and a $100 gift certificate to The Ryde. The second place artist will receive a $100 cash prize and a $50 gift certificate to The Ryde. The contest is open to the public and submissions are currently being accepted at theryde.com/submit.html. The open submission period will close on April 15, 2008.
The winning design will be used to create the exclusive t-shirts which will be sold online at TheRyde.com and at select retailers beginning April 18, 2008 in addition to upcoming special events and promotions to be announced.
