10:30am to 3pm – Beach Festival at Kanaha
The non-competitive, aloha, paddle for women in water sports starting at Baldwin and ending at Kanaha in Maui, HI. It empowers women in water sports through a non-competitive event. They are the original water woman movement that focuses on sport, health, fitness and giving back to local charities. The Butterfly Effect Maui 2015 will be benefiting Boarding for Breast Cancer Foundation to support their mission and vision.
The “Butterflies” are the women participants. These women love seeking adventure, challenge, and asserting their femininity during sports. They also have a passion for giving back to the world, expressed through each of the Butterfly Effect’s events.

THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT EVENT DAY
The Butterfly Effect events create an environment where participants receive a sense of comfort and confidence to achieve a goal in a group setting. They all receive support and encouragement from other participants. Every “Butterfly” is empowered with more confidence and joy, that enhances not only their board riding skills, but also their navigation through everyday life.

♥ Downwinder! (A downwinder is when the rider starts at one point and ends up at another point downwind of their original location, this event usually has a distance of at least 3-miles in the ocean)
REQUIREMENTS: Self capable riding level and previous downwind experience completed of at least 1 mile. Lifejackets are required for 18 & under.
Beach entries accepted for $60/person. Cash or check only.
