#TeamB4BC loves our mamas! They’ve encouraged us to grow, learn, and empowered us through life. B4BC is extremely honored to have a team of over 18 females, killing it in otherwise male dominated sports industries – snow, skate, surf, and wake.
We’re so thankful for all the moms encouraging us to get out there, try new things and roll with the punches (or falls, bruises, broken bones and more). Thank you to all of the moms keeping us strong and inspired! Check out what some of our athletes have to say about their mamas!
My mom always told me to “Fly like an eagle and land like a bird.” For me this always meant “shoot for the stars but land with grace.” For me, this quote has rang true to everything in life, always have faith, passion, and persistence in everything I do but by landing like a bird, I’m reminded to stay humble and gentle with my impact on the earth. Handling even the toughest situations, like having my mom pass way at the end of January, made me realize how valuable this advice is. Fly high in the stormy parts of life and you’ll be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

My mom, she’s my EVERYTHING! She has taught me to love, to live a humble life, to never take ANYTHING for granted. She is the queen of all mothers, and I’m so blessed to call her my own! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOMMA.
Love, Kelia Moniz
I love to go snowboarding with my mom! Even if she only goes a few times a year she RIPS and its so fun to share this passion of the mountains that I have with her

The best advice my mother has ever given me is be nice and treat everyone equal, follow Jesus’s steps, and always stand up for myself and others

What can I say that hasn’t been said already. I just love my mom, she’s so cool and in the know and is usually the one who turns me onto trends before I’m aware of them, haha.
Snowboarding is only the most obvious example of that…

The best advice given by Marion Bright:
“Your body is like a race car. What you put into matters.”
When we were children and ate junk as a kids, mum would guilt us… at least we felt it was guilting us! “Would you put sugar into a Porsche race cars engine to make it go faster… No… It’s the same for us”
Now, I get it and all my experience proves this and now there is a lot of research out there that proves this. I try to live it as best as i can! She is a seeker of knowledge, truth and light in this world. She’s the best!
-Torah Bright
The most memorable advice my Mom ever gave me was to always be responsible for myself and to always keep my word. If you say you’re going to do something, you do it even if you don’t feel like it. She would say, “Even if you have nothing, you will always have your word.”
