With every new calendar year we are all looking to better ourselves in one way or another. Trading fruit desserts in place of cakes and cookies is always a great way to cut back on sweets and feel healthier. However, sometimes a plain piece of fruit just doesn’t satisfy a sweet tooth!
I think this recipe is the perfect sweet alternative. Banana, cacao and honey all caramelized together into the perfect bite without any refined sugars, grains, or additives. This is a treat that will still fit into any New Year’s resolution, and still put a smile on your face.
- 1 Banana
- 1 TBS coconut oil
- 1TBS honey
- 1 TBS cacao nibs
Heat up the coconut oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Slice bananas and place in pan for about 3 minutes, or until browned on one side. Flip bananas and drizzle with honey and cacao nibs. Fry for about 3 more minutes until browned.
Remove from heat and enjoy!
