We couldn’t have asked for a better day to kick off “Surfing + Yoga Heals,” a daylong ocean-based wellness experience on August 8, for breast cancer survivors, presented by the B4BC Survivorship Fund. A super-big thanks goes out to Yoga Long Beach and the Skudin Surf Camp for taking the day to help cultivate our yoga and surfing skills!
After a sweaty Vinyasa session to warm up the muscles, we ventured out into the sunshine for an afternoon of sand and surf. With Cheshire grins and high-fives all around, the ladies shared laughs, wipeouts, personal stories, and in the end, caught waves like pros. Thoroughly exhausted, we retired to the beach to knosh on tasty, organic food, reflect on what the day meant, and bask in the glory of wave riding.
Another big thanks goes out to the kind-hearted folks who provided some pretty amazing wellness and beauty products for our participants, which included 8Knots, Sacred Rose Organic Herbal Tea, Dr.’s Remedy Enriched Nail Polish, Thriving Yoga, KSpin Designs, Candi Andi, Calton Nutrition, Keepsake Bows, Unmarx, Hive Lip Balm and KIND Snacks.
