Boarding For Breast Cancer was beyond stoked for the last 2 stops of the Shred the Love Tour, Alpine Meadows & Sierra-At-Tahoe! Our B4BC Community showed up for both stops we’re thrilled to announce over $22K was raised for B4BC’s education, prevention and survivorship programs.
Shred the Love – Alpine Meadows weekend kicked off with an Art Show + Silent Auction at Alibi Ale Works in Truckee. Local and nation wide artists painted Arbor Skate Decks that were displayed in Alibi along with tables of Silent Auction pieces from our amazing sponsors YETI, GoPro, The North Face, Roxy, Smith, Dakine and Roxy. Artist Rachel Fritz painted live during the event and her art deck sold at the end of the night. Beers and kombuchas were flowing while Grass After Dark started the music with The Pixie and PartyGrass Boys band! Thanks to Alibi Ale Works for hosting!

Saturday started with Sport Basement bringing in people from the Bay Area to Alpine Meadows on the Powder Bus! Demo Day was in full swing while B4BC registered participants for the Shred-A-Thon! Ranging from 5 years old to 65, Shred-A-Thon participants started on Kangaroo run while cruising through an obstacle course. The winner completed 12 laps total and took him prizing from our amazing sponsors, YETI, Vans, Suja Organic and GoPro!

Everyone stayed energized and hydrated thanks to Suja! Organic juices, kombuchas and wellness shots were distributed from the amazing Suja Team all day!
The day was a huge success with over $11k raised with the help of Sports Basement and a donation from Alpine Meadows!

Shred the Love – Sierra-At-Tahoe went back to where it all started! Sierra-At-Tahoe is B4BC’s longest standing event! The weekend started at Benko Art Gallery in South Lake Tahoe. Not only is Benko a space for amazing art, the night started with a yoga class from teacher Stephanie Garnin.

After the yoga class Rory Canfield (@TonicArts) was live painting, art decks were on display and amazing items from our sponsors were up for silent auction. “Pink Drinks” were served (Suja Watermelon Organic juice) and 10 Barrell Brewing Co. donated drinks for the event!

Saturday was filled with music, snowboarding and skiing! Not only was the Park Jam going down from 11am-1pm, we teamed up with 10 Barrel Brewing Co. this year to give our Shred the Love friends a viewing spectacle, Hella Big Air! An all day vendor village with guests such as ThirtyTwo, KIND, Aloha Growing Young, Mountain Vibes, Armada, Burton, and Dakine. It wouldn’t be a party without our Series Sponsor, Suja Organic!

Live music all day along with the addition of our Tribute Ride was a great way to end the season. Thank you to everyone that came out and helped us raise money for our Education and Survivorship programs! Over 12k was raised in total!
