Annually, in the United States alone, more than 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. In her lifetime, a U.S. woman has a 1 in 8 chance of developing invasive breast cancer and unfortunately more and more women are being diagnosed with the disease in their 20s and 30s.
With these astounding facts it’s B4BC’s mission to educate young women about the importance of early detection and leading an active lifestyle. Knowledge is power. Increasing awareness and giving young women the tools to approach their own life from a better-informed position is key for prevention and early detection.
The single most important tool for surviving breast cancer is to catch it early. This is why it’s essential for a woman to perform monthly breast self exams. Get to know your body ladies. Please visit our health section to learn how to do a breast self-exam as well as to educate yourself of the risk factors and what you can do to increase your odds against breast cancer!
B4BC would like to sincerely thank all of our incredible cause marketing and media partners, industry supporters, mountains, volunteers, and all of our wonderful supporters for your incredible commitment to our cause and for giving us the opportunity to maximize our educational outreach efforts, not only during breast cancer awareness month, but year round.
