Hey all, checking in from San Luis Obispo, CA tonight to get you up to speed on our Check One, Two Campus Tour. These first 10 days on the road have flown by with (5) campus tour stops already under our belt! Whew, we are rolling 🙂
Last Tuesday we kicked things off at CSU-Sacramento, with our educational booth being activated in the library lawn. This location was primetime as we caught up with hundreds of students who were cruising by on their way to class and/or lunch!
This first date was a great reminder as to why we hit the road in the first place. An unprecedented amount of young people came to our booth to thank us for being there and to tell us how breast cancer has affected their life. Yet, so many, were unaware of the fact that young people can get this disease too.
For that reason I’m so grateful and proud that we’re able to activate our educational booth 10 months out of the year to give young people the tools they need for early detection and prevention!
Thank you CSU-Sacramento for welcoming us onto your campus and for sending us on our way with good energy for the rest of tour!
See you on the road,
Blair
