There was nothing but bluebird skies and beaming pink ribbons (painted on the snow) for the 6th annual Crystal Mt. B4BC Board-A-Thon event in Michigan this year. Attendees enjoyed live music, food, ski and snowboard demos from Rossignol, and a live broadcast from the popular local station the Zone. The event ran in conjunction with the 3rd Annual Cammy Potter Slopestyle Competition, which featured nearly 80 participants this year. This competition celebrates the life of pro-snowboarder, Cammy Potter, who died of Breast Cancer in 2004 at the age of 35. B4BC is proud to help honor Cammy at this wonderful memorial.
The 2006 Board-a-thon concluded with a newly added event, LUNAFEST, a women’s film festival presented by Luna Bar. The proceeds from this event benefited the Child Care Connections out of Traverse City.
Additionally B4BC donated a percentage of the days funds to local non-profit Munson Health Care.
Many thanks go out to Abby Hoyt, Rachel Edelstein, our volunteers, and Crystal Mountain and their wonderful community for all of their support and hard work again this year!
