This past Saturday we celebrated 10 years of educational outreach at Bear Mountain’s annual Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails (HDHR) event! This fun occasion boasts the largest winter kick-off party in the country with Bear Mountain blowing 130 tons of snow upon a new urban style park for an unforgettable snow contest. The park build for HDHR is also an unveiling of innovative new features that we’ll see on the hill for the 2013-2014 season! Who’s excited?
Over 10,000 stoked people showed to celebrate the end of summer & to enjoy product giveaways, live music from Five Knives, discounted season passes, BBQ, plenty of sunshine & fresh mountain air, and an incredible contest by some of the best park riders out there!
Thank you to our volunteers Maggie Gonzalez, Jenise Spiteri, Kari Brandt, and Andrea DuBois for helping us deliver our message all day. And a huge thank you to Bear Mountain for the opportunity to be a part of HDHR each year!
