Bonfire’s Fall Movie Premiere of Ro Sham Bo and The Gap Session is making second to last stop at Whistler’s Showcase Snowboards on Friday, November 17th at 8pm. Also that evening, Showcase will be hosting a fashion show in the store featuring this season’s Bonfire outerwear! Proceeds from the night will benefit B4BC’s educational outreach efforts.
Additionally, Bonfire Snowboarding Company, in conjunction with Future Snowboarding Magazine and Gore-Tex, announces the final stop of the six city movie tour in Boston, MA.
The Stadium Bar and Grill (www.stadiumbars.com) hosts the final stop on the tour on November 18, 2006 during the annual Bayside Snowsports Expo. The 21 and over show will feature two films: Misschief Films ..Ro Sham Bo.. and Blank Paper Studio..s ..The Gap Session… Doors open at 8:30pm with a DJ providing the music on site while Project SF, a local artist collective, will be silk screening works of art onto jackets, t-shirts and any other fabric of choice. (www.projectsf.com). There will be tons of prizes to be raffled off including outerwear from Bonfire, goodie bags from Gore-Tex and Future Snowboarding Magazine. Loon Mountain is also giving away a Threedom pass which can be used at Loon, Waterville and Cranmore resorts. The first 10 ladies in the door will also receive a gift pack from Bonfire. Admission is $5 with all proceeds from the door and raffles going to Boarding For Breast Cancer.
Misschief Films released their first film, As If, last year with a distribution of close to 18,000 copies sold around the world in 2005 making it the number one female snowboarding video for 2005. Looking for the same success in 2006, Ro Sham Bo features Bonfires own Leanne Pelosi and other female riders such as Tara Dakides, Silvia Mittermuler, Natazsha Zurek, Amber Stackhouse and many more talented girls. The Gap Session, a creation by Blank paper Studios and Bonfire’s David Benedek, featuring Benedek himself along with Christoph Weber, Marco Grilc, Freddy Kalbermatten Travis Parker, Christophe Schmidt, Markus Keller, Mathieu Crepel, Travis Rice, Nicolas Mueller, Stefan Gimpl, Sani Alibabic and newcomer Viktor Teymurov. A two disc set featuring �The Gap Session and a re-release of 2005s hugely successful 91 Words For Snow will be included free in the November issue of Future Snowboarding Magazine.
