This weekend marked the end of this year’s Skate Series with 100 participants coming out to B4BC’s 9th Annual Skate the Coast! The skaters pushed along a beautiful 18-mile course from the Santa Monica Pier to the Redondo Beach pier while raising over $20,000 for B4BC’s education, prevention and support programs!
Skaters, bikers, and bladers pushed to the finish line and were welcomed by an amazing after-party hosted by Dive n Surf in Redondo Beach. Thank you so much to Wahoo’s Fish Tacos for providing our skaters with delicious food post-skate and Just Chill for the cool beverages! Partygoers were treated to an awesome set by local band Hoist the Colors and everyone went home with a CD of their own.

As always we want to recognize our top three fundraisers:
- Hope Selevan: $3,390
- CJ Silas: $1,617

Hope is no stranger to the top fundraiser spot! Every year she rocks Skate the Coast in addition to helping out as a volunteer in our booth at all kinds of events. We love this girl & are so happy to have her as part of the B4BC family!
Our number two spot went to CJ Silas who brings her team of Roller Derby girls to Skate the Coast each year and fundraises for B4BC year-round. Third place went to TK Brown who has participated in Skate the Coast since the very beginning 9 years ago!

We want to give a MAJOR thank you to all the skaters, donors, and partners who made this happen! We couldn’t do what we do without all of your love and support!
