B4BC Joins the Vans Warped Tour 2016 in California and Spreads the Word to Fans and Bands for an Unforgettable Outreach Experience

Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) was very stoked and thankful to attend the 2016 Vans Warped Tour at the San Diego, Mountain View and Pomona dates as the Tour rolled through California August 5-7! We were able to meet hundreds of young people and promote our ideas of early detection and a healthy, active, and sustainable lifestyle as the best means for breast cancer prevention.

Throughout the three days, we informed upwards of 650 girls and guys how to do breast self-exams, what a potentially cancerous lump would feel like, and what living a healthy and active lifestyle means for us. We were very grateful to have support of multiple bands, including With Confidence, Wage War, Safe to Say, The Color Morale and Mother Feather. Thanks to the support of these bands, who did autograph signings at our booth and shout-outs on stage during their performances to B4BC, we were able to increase our reach to fans at the show. These bands brought in a significant number of extra people to our booth, and we were so happy to have had an impact on so many people and the support of incredible musicians.

Those who stopped by our booth were able to take a spin on our educational spin wheel for the chance to win one of our giveaways, including wish bracelets, lanyards, wristbands, stickers, and pencils. Those willing to follow us on social media or make a donation were also able to enter a chance to win in our raffle, with winners announced three times a day at the Mountain View and Pomona dates. Our prizes included Dakine backpacks, Vonzipper hats, sticker packs, Xbox games, and more! Thanks to donations, we were also able to continue to raise funds towards getting us on the road for even more dates in the Summer of 2017!

We would like to extend a special thank you to With Confidence and Wage War, who were willing to hold live autograph signings at our booth. Fans were not only able to meet the bands, but also learn how to do Breast Self-Exams and learn more about us. With Confidence was also willing to donate all proceeds of their poster sales to B4BC as well as rep some B4BC merchandise on stage, and during signings.Safe to Say did a special shout out about us and encouraged everyone to come learn more about us at our booth. Mother Feather and The Color Morale were able to stop by our booth and grab a couple of pictures. We are extremely thankful for the support, as well as the great music!
Once again, thank you so much to the Vans Warped Tour for letting us attend and be a part of the Festival experience! Also thank you to the bands, the fans, and everyone else for the continued support.
