ROOS ZWETSLOOT

Roos Zwetsloot is an Olympian hailing from The Netherlands. Having started skateboarding at the young age of 8, she quickly grew to be a top competitive skateboarder breaking glass ceilings in the gritty world of street skateboarding. Featured in the highly coveted opening spread of Thrasher Magazine in 2022, she made a name for herself with a huge 50-50 on the historic Hollywood High 16 rail, and became the first woman ever to grind the iconic rail in the 500+ issue history of the magazine.

In 2016, Roos entered her first competition, the Dutch National Championships, where she secured a place on the podium. It wasn’t long before her natural athleticism, precision, and fierce yet quiet style made people take note at the SLS Olympic open qualifier. Roos competed in her first World Championships in São Paulo, Brazil in 2020, shortly after winning the 2020 Dutch National Championships. The athlete has been a member of the inaugural Dutch National Team for the last three years, and is currently the reigning National Champion for Women’s Street. She has since added the title of Olympian as one of the first ever skateboarders to compete at the Olympics when the sported debuted in Tokyo in 2020. The following year, Roos  secured her first podium at a pro contest with a third place finish at Dew Tour, and placed 3rd at the Street League Series tour event in Salt Lake City.

Roos is playful and engaging, enjoys cross-training in the gym & sharing healthy cooking tips, and prioritizes her street skating just as much as who she is off her board.
