What is this about?
Since 2004 more than 2,200 people have participated in B4BC’s annual Skate the Lake event. A collective push and ride for breast cancer awareness and prevention that attracts skateboarders, longboarders, roller skaters, bikers, and essentially anyone on wheels of all ages and abilities. Participants are encouraged to ride in honor of a loved one who is or has battled breast cancer. To date, Skate the Lake along with B4BC’s Skate the Coast have collectively raised over $700,000 in funding for B4BC’s education, prevention, and survivorship programs in addition to supporting local cancer support facilities like the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Community.
We sincerely appreciate the love and support that the Skate the Lake community has provided to B4BC for the last 16 years!
This year’s Skate The Lake will take place on August 29th, 2020.
