B4BC is stoked to announce that the 2nd annual Skate the Lake event will be held on Saturday, October 7th, 2006! Skate the Lake is a rad longboarding skateboard relay along the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe! All proceeds from this relay will be donated to help our educational outreach efforts.
The weekend will kick off with a registration party Friday, October 6th from 6pm to 10pm. The night will be complete with food and a DJ at Zenbu in Squaw Valley. The race will require an entry fee of $20 for all participants. We encourage you and your friends to put together a team for the skate! Additionally, if you don’t skate you can also sign up to walk or run the route.
The relay race will begin at the first light of dawn on Saturday, October 7th. Athletes of all ages and skill levels can either skate the two mile portion they signed up for at registration or all 27 miles.
Following the skate there will be an all ages after party with some killer music from LEFT ALONE, ANOTHER DAMN DISAPPOINTMENT, 5 DAYS DIRTY, and ROCKET!!!
