B4BC friend, Charley Cover’s “Paddle for Cancer” event, raised nearly $18,000 for breast cancer research for UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC). Charley and his friends successfully completed the 3-day 60-mile paddle along the California Coast from Rincon to Jalama on August 18-20 in support of his sister Carolyn who was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma earlier this year .
The funds raised will allow JCCC researchers to continue to develop new and better ways to prevent, detect, and treat cancer.
