TY WALKER

A rising talent since she was seven, Ty Walker made a steady climb up the ranks since her debut on the slopestyle scene. Walker came into the 2014 season strong, landing just shy of the podium in fourth place at the U.S. Grand Prix in Copper. Then she pegged down a third-place finish at the first U.S. Grand Prix in Mammoth and secured her spot on the first Olympic slopestyle snowboarding team. A badly bruised heel from a crash during practice kept Walker from riding to her potential on the Olympic stage. In 2015, Walker won the very first women’s snowboard big air World Cup event in Istanbul. That fall, Walker entered Brown University to study biology and public health with a focus on pre-med, and has since graduated with her degree in 2020.
