The New Year is upon us! How? We aren't quite sure. It seems like just yesterday we were ringing in 2014 and writing down our resolutions! Which brings us to this. Chances are you didn't stick to all of the resolutions you made last year, we're guilty too. Being healthy is always on our list of resolutions in some form or another, but it's harder than it sounds to stick to it diligently. Getting motivated is one thing, but we all get busy and staying motivated is a whole different story. Being and staying healthy is a GREAT resolution to make and with some careful planning, you can make this goal way easier on yourself. The time has come for you to pack your suitcase, hop in the car, and head to your folks house for the holidays. HAPPY HALLOWEEN WEEK! Pumpkins, costumes, and…. candy galore. The one downfall to this amazing holiday. We are constantly being bombarded by all kinds of sweet treats that are packed with artificial sugars, colors, and all kinds of gnarly chemicals. We’re still not sure why things that are so bad for our bodies taste so good, but you know what? Things that are good for our bodies taste even BETTER. Our volunteer community plays an incredibly important role in helping us spread our message and keep our programs strong & moving. Today we wanted to highlight longtime B4BC volunteer, Margaret “Margo” Stoney. Margo has been quite the utility player for B4BC over the years and we’re so thankful for her support. Read on to hear how she got started and what her most recent volunteer project was with B4BC… “I volunteered for my first Boarding for Breast Cancer event about ten years ago – it was a board-a-thon at Crystal Mountain, Michigan. Since then, I’ve been involved with the organization in a variety of ways. We think it’s safe to assume that we are all busy people.
