This Valentine’s Day 2008 will be an honorable evening in our efforts to raise funds for the battle against breast cancer. Breast cancer is a hard road to venture down. Most likely it will affect someone close to your heart if it hasn’t already. The attendance and sponsorship of this event is for those of us who hope to help this cause become less of an infliction, offer more resources for answers, and with much hope and support a solution!
The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2007, 178,480 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 40,460 die. One woman in eight either has or will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. In addition, 2,030 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 450 will die this year.
